The salary range for this position is:

The Employer Services Elective Coverage unit exists to provide this customer group with end-to-end account support and regulatory guidance. This includes supporting with enrollment requirements, premiums, wages, direct, administer, manage, and control FAMLI benefit monetary eligibility for Self-Employed and Employees of Opted Out Local Governments (Self-E & EOOLG) by reviewing, evaluating, and ensuring compliance with FAMLI statute and administrative rules. This involves basic knowledge of rules, our elective coverage account @types, and determining the entitlement, legitimacy, and eligibility of these employers for the FAMLI program. The unit works to enforce compliance with state law and regulations to ensure the integrity of the FAMLI Program and the solvency of the FAMLI Trust Fund.
The unit has oversight of employer wage reporting, local government opt-outs, and self-employed individuals. They are responsible for monitoring and processing all wage reporting for individual claimants that could not be performed by the employer. The unit is also responsible for ensuring employer compliance regarding opt-in participation. These responsibilities include but are not limited to: the receipt, review, and approval of previously unreported wages, wage verification of self-employed individuals and employees of opted-out local governments, and regular work schedules. The unit primarily conducts outbound contacts through email or the online portal, and also by phone. This team that the base period wages stated on a claim for FAMLI benefits are accurate and fall under FAMLI coverage. The unit plays a crucial role in determining if the claimant has sufficient covered wages to be eligible for benefits and the amount of weekly and maximum benefits that can be provided. The unit typically conducts inquiries to determine whether the claimant's wages are 3 eligible for FAMLI coverage and can be used to establish a claim for benefits. They also review how the claimant has complied with their premium payments and wage reporting, and oversees program eligibility for elective coverage customers.
The position serves as the primary point of contact for individuals electing to participate in the FAMLI program and ensures compliance with the requirements for elective coverage, including verification of quarterly wage reports based on the individuals' supporting documentation and amendments to reported wages as necessary; confirmation of the individual's status as self-employed through review of federal tax documents; and monitors compliance with 3-year opt-in commitment. The position reviews claims submitted by individuals electing coverage to ensure the accuracy of the wages used to calculate benefits. In the event of a request for a reconsideration, the position reviews wages already submitted and the claimant's documentation supporting their request. The position represents the Division in claimant appeals.

Five (5) years of relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned to this position such as:

Education and Experience:

Appeal Rights: (Updated)
