We have an opportunity for an experienced Manufacturing Engineering Manager to join our team. The Manufacturing Engineering Manager leads a team of Operations Support Engineers across multiple product lines within the Commercial Avionics and Business and Regional Avionics production teams in Melbourne, FL.
The position works closely with the operations and quality teams to ensure alignment with customer needs with a strong focus on improving productivity, quality, & delivery performance for both production & development programs.

You will utilize active listening, critical thinking, and effective problem-solving skills to resolve complex issues while working under pressure. WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Guides, reviews, and coaches, the work of other manufacturing engineers, Manufacturing Electrical Engineers, Industrial Engineers and Industrial Engineer Technicians, to ensure that quality and manufacturing standards are met.
Implements and monitors operating budgets in to maximize cost effectiveness and ensure standards are met.
Identifies opportunities or supervises the implementation of changes to improve products or reduce costs using knowledge of fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment, assembly methods, quality control standards, or product design, materials and parts to optimize productivity and ensure optimal use of resources.
Guides engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques to enhance performance and manufacturing capabilities.
QUALIFICATIONS YOU MUST HAVE:
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience.
4 + years leading a team in a fast-paced, high mix manufacturing operation.
5+ years' manufacturing experience within Aerospace Industry.
Qualifications/Experience Preferred:
Collaborative leadership behaviors that emphasize high goal setting, team empowerment and providing support.
Proven ability to facilitate difficult conversations and communicate early, and concisely with individuals at all organizational levels.
Proven active listening and critical thinking skills.
Ability to remain focused under pressure to assess and resolve challenges.
LEAN certification.
SAP Proficiency.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
