Job Title: Entry Level Glass Technician

Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and hands-on individual to join our team as an Entry-Level Glass Technician. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with basic construction or carpentry experience who is eager to learn a specialized trade. You will assist with installing and repairing glass in residential, commercial, or automotive settings, receiving on-the-job training to enhance your skills.

Responsibilities

Assist with the installation and repair of glass for windows, doors, mirrors, and other surfaces.

Measure, cut, and handle glass safely under supervision.

Support technicians on job sites with tools, materials, and setup.

Prepare frames and surfaces for glass installation using basic carpentry techniques.

Apply sealants and adhesives to ensure proper fit and insulation.

Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Follow safety procedures and wear protective gear at all times.

Communicate respectfully with customers and team members.

Essential Skills

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Some experience in construction, carpentry, or a related trade.

Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work on ladders or scaffolding.

Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in various conditions.

Strong attention to detail and willingness to follow instructions.

Reliable transportation and punctuality.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

1-3 years of carpentry experience.

1-3 years of construction experience.

Experience working in the elements.

Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

Willingness to learn finish carpentry, drywall, framing, and finishing.

Work Environment

You will work in commercial, industrial, and residential sites, often outside in varying weather conditions. Overnight work may be required. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 6am-4pm.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Johnstown, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
