Join the Louisiana Department of Health as an Attorney in the Bureau of Legal Services and play a critical role in supporting the agency's statewide public health mission. This position provides high-level legal counsel on complex matters including contracts, procurements, cooperative agreements, and policy issues impacting major health programs across Louisiana. The selected candidate will collaborate with executive leadership and program offices to navigate legal challenges, support strategic initiatives, and represent the department in specialized litigation and administrative proceedings. This role offers the opportunity to work on impactful legal issues that shape public health operations while contributing to meaningful work that serves communities across the state.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
Serves the Louisiana Department of Health in a highly responsible legal and consultative capacity as an Attorney 4 assigned to the Bureau of Legal Services within the Office of the Secretary in Baton Rouge.
Reports directly to an Attorney Supervisor over the Legal-Contracts and Procurement Section.
Provides legal guidance and support on matters including:
Contracts
Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Solicitations for Proposals (SFPs)
Procurements
Cooperative Endeavor Agreements (CEAs)
Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs)
Procurement protests
Other contractual legal matters and issues
Handlestransactions and legal issues related to propertyowned by or under the control and management of LDH.
Serves asspecialized counselon litigation projects involving procurement matters, including protests and related proceedings.
·Provides additionallegal services and support for Judicial Review matterswhen assistance is needed by the attorneys assigned to those cases.
