Fund Accounting Manager

Description

We are looking for a dedicated Fund Accountant to join our team in Miami, Florida. This role is ideal for someone with extensive experience in fund accounting and a strong background in working with non-profit organizations. You will play a pivotal part in managing financial transactions, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with grant and contract obligations.

Responsibilities:

Oversee the accurate tracking of funds and financial resources for non-profit initiatives.

Reconcile accounts and ensure all financial transactions are properly documented.

Collaborate on the development and negotiation of contracts to support organizational goals.

Manage collections and ensure timely receipt of funds from donors and partners.

Prepare detailed financial reports and support audits as needed.

Assist in business development efforts by analyzing financial data and identifying opportunities.

Organize and participate in social events to strengthen donor relationships.

Utilize NetSuite software to maintain accurate financial records and streamline processes.

Ensure compliance with foundation grants and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably within the non-profit sector.

Strong knowledge of fund accounting principles and practices.

Familiarity with foundation grants and their financial requirements.

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.

Excellent business development and contract negotiation skills.

Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational capabilities.

Ability to work in a hybrid environment with flexibility.
