About Power & Energy Procurement

Caterpillar's Power & Energy Procurement organization plays a critical role in supporting all divisions within Power & Energy. Our work is geared towards our pistons of Predictable Supply Excellence, Optimized Total Cost of Ownership, Supplier Relationship Management and Lifecycle Sourcing Strategy. We continue to develop suppliers who competitively deliver operational excellence, enabling our customers to build a better world. With a strong focus on data-driven decision-making and operational efficiency, P&E Procurement leverages advanced tools and processes to connect the physical and digital supply chain, enabling business units to deliver high-performance solutions that meet evolving customers and business needs.

Job Summary:

As the Administrative Assistant , you will be responsible for providing high-level administrative, project, and strategic support to the VP of Procurement, acting as a crucial liaison to augment leadership productivity.

What You Will Do:

Maintain the calendar for the Vice President, which includes scheduling both routine and occasional meetings.

Book domestic and international travel, including flights, ground transportation, and hotel accommodations.

Oversee office space management, including room reservations, catering orders, and inventory of office supplies.

Collaborate with other administrative professionals within Caterpillar to assist with training and share best practices.

Partner with administrative assistants across Caterpillar facilities in scheduling facility-related events, such as offsite meetings, team-building activities, and family events.

Special projects include planning staff meetings, developing presentation materials, and distributing meeting minutes.

Manage the processing of visas for international travel.

Reconcile credit card charges and process expense reports.

Flexibility and Adaptability: Knowledge of successful approaches and techniques for dealing with change; ability to adapt to a changing environment and be comfortable with change.

Managing Multiple Priorities: Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.

Microsoft Office: Knowledge of Microsoft Office; ability to use the features and functions in Microsoft Office products.

Additional Information:

This position is located in Mossville, IL or Lafayette, IN

Travel expectation up to 10%

Summary Pay Range:

$28.70 - $43.10

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
