QUALIFICATIONS:

Valid New York State certification in Business

Ability to motivate students and instruct students in developing strong problem-solving skills

Evidence of a desire to create a classroom that is flexible and student centered

Evidence of incorporating differentiated instruction in instructional planning to meet the needs of all students.

Be active in professional organizations and continued professional development.

Ability to motivate and inspire students at a variety of ability levels and to contribute toward the growth of an exemplary business program.

A collaborative mindset with a willingness to work as part of a dynamic, cooperative team

Demonstrated effective classroom management skills that foster a respectful and productive learning environment.

Evidence of incorporating differentiated instruction in instructional planning to meet the needs of all students.

Knowledge of business-specific content, standards, curriculum, and technology application appropriate to various levels.

Demonstrated knowledge of NYS and National Learning Standards in Business.

Evidence of effective communication skills, both written and oral.

Demonstrated ability to infuse technology into the instructional program.

Ability to reflect and contemplate on teaching, allowing for continued growth and excellence.

REPORTS TO: Building Principal

SALARY: $44,840 - $53,700 Per WTA Contract

Internal: District employees (Probationary and tenured teachers requesting a transfer within their current tenure area, Teaching Assistants who are currently fully certified in the appropriate tenure area) may apply by submitting a letter of interest to Human Resources with a copy to the building principal. E-mailed letters of interest are not acceptable. The original signed letters of interest must be submitted by the end of the day on March 18, 2026
