As a Security Officer - Retail in Troy, MI , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a high-end retail and mall location, you will conduct routine interior and exterior rounds, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and guest concerns with calm professionalism. You will support store teams with clear communication, incident reporting, and customer-focused assistance. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to clients, guests, and store associates by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.

Conduct regular and random patrols throughout retail sales floors, common areas, back-of-house corridors, and exterior perimeters to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance or policy concerns.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including customer disturbances, medical events, and property concerns, and request additional assistance when needed.

Monitor entrances, fitting room areas, and other high-traffic locations, observing for policy violations and suspicious behavior and reporting concerns to site leadership.

Complete required reports and logs, document incidents accurately, and communicate observations to Allied Universal management and client representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.

Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.

Customer service experience is preferred.

Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Loss prevention experience is preferred.

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
