About the role

The Test Lead is responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of testing activities within the Platforms Management team. This role ensures that all deliverables meet the required quality standards and that testing processes are efficient, thorough, and aligned with business objectives. This role involves working closely with stakeholders, including Product Owners of the various platforms, to ensure that the platforms meet business needs and deliver value.

Your accountability

Develop and maintain the high-level test strategy and master test plans. Review and sign off on all test documentation, ensuring alignment with business goals.

Lead and coordinate the testing activities. Assign tasks, monitor progress, and provide guidance and support to all involved in the testing activities. Current direct span of control is a Test Engineer, but that might expand over time.

Serve as the primary liaison for testing activities, collaborating with project managers, business analysts, developers, system administrators and business stakeholders.

Oversee the creation and execution of test cases, ensuring comprehensive coverage of requirements. Manage defect tracking and resolution processes.

Produce regular reports on test progress, defect status, and overall quality metrics for all stakeholders.

Ensure that all testing activities comply with organisational standards and best practices. Maintain documentation, test scripts, and test reports as required.

Support the configuration and scheduling of test environments and verification activities.

Identify opportunities to improve testing processes, tools, and team capabilities.

Role organization and scope

The role holder works as member of the Platforms Management team and reports to the Director of Platforms Management. The Test Lead will work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. The role may require occasional after-hours work to address out-of-office-hour activities. The individual must be comfortable working in a collaborative team setting and be able to handle high-pressure situations with a calm and methodical approach. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.

Qualifications, knowledge, and experience

Required Skills and Experience:

Proven experience in test management, ideally within complex IT or digital transformation projects.

Strong understanding of test methodologies, processes, tools and automation frameworks.

Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Analytical and solution focused mindset with attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

Experience of working in a customer-focused environment.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure to meet deadlines.

Business English both written and verbal.

Desired Skills and Experience:

Experience with risk management, defect management, and reporting.
