Our Food Service Packaging plant facility in Plymouth, IN is seeking Facility Maintenance to perform the work necessary to construct, alter, and repair buildings, furnishings and equipment as assigned by the supervisor. Specific duties may involve roof repairs, window repair, furniture assembly and repair, and minor masonry work.

The starting rate is $31.77/hr. Hours are 6a-2p possible OT on the weekends.

How you will impact Smurfit Westrock:

Perform preventive and routine maintenance on heating, ventilating, and air conditioning.

Perform electrical safety testing on equipment according to procedure.

Perform preventive and routine maintenance on plumbing systems.

Clean, strip, re-coat, and buff floors.

Carpet Cleaning

Assist in maintenance of facilities grounds.

Assist in snow and ice removal as needed.

Perform routine security functions.

Perform functions as requested to maintain interior and exterior appearance of the buildings, and grounds.

Paint and perform carpentry work as needed.

Assist Service Technicians as requested.

Be able to flexible hours if needed.

Maintain HVAC systems (HVAC Certified Preferred).

Repair plumbing and electrical systems.

Perform interior and exterior painting.

General maintenance of grounds, including snow and ice removal during winter months and landscaping.

Perform roof inspections and minor repairs as needed.

General maintenance of office spaces, including changing lamps, replacing ceiling tiles, moving furniture, and assisting with office setups.

Maintain cleanliness of interior and exterior of the property.

Perform all work in a safe and responsible manner in accordance with SQF and safety policies.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Facility upkeep and minor repairs (paint, drywall, doors, lights)

Waste handling: trash/scrap, cardboard, coolant, etc.

Shop support: moving materials, organizing storage, cleaning, etc.

Assist with dock/receiving support as needed

Offsite travel between buildings and local stores

What you need to succeed:

Prior Experience in Building Maintenance

High School Diploma/GED equivalent required.

Ability to read a tape measure (to 1/16" measurement), do basic math, and some computer skills.

Ability to lift, push and/or pull up to 50lbs, navigate stairs, stand, walk, bend, and kneel throughout the entire shift.

Must feel comfortable working in a team environment consisting of facility team members and outside contractors.

Required to use considerable judgment when performing and planning to perform his/her tasks.

Industrial manufacturing experience is preferred.

Must be flexible on shift.

Must successfully pass pre-employment screenings, drug test and criminal background check.
