Job Title: Registered Nurse

Job Description

We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide indirect clinical support, care coordination, and documentation management without hands-on patient care. The ideal candidate possesses strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and experience working with Electronic Medical Records (EMRs) and interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

Review patient charts, labs, imaging, and clinical data to support provider decision-making.

Coordinate referrals, follow-up care, and communication across providers, pharmacies, and external partners.

Manage documentation, update care plans, and complete pre-visit planning in the EMR.

Conduct remote or telephone clinical assessments following established protocols (if applicable).

Support utilization review, authorizations, and medical necessity documentation (role dependent).

Participate in quality initiatives, chart audits, and compliance workflows.

Maintain accurate records while upholding HIPAA and organizational standards.

Essential Skills

Clinical assessment expertise.

Proficiency in EMR systems.

Care coordination experience.

Utilization review and insurance knowledge.

Understanding of medical necessity criteria, authorizations, denials, appeals, and payer policies.

Knowledge of HIPAA, CMS regulations, and accreditation standards.

Remote monitoring and data interpretation skills.

High-level documentation accuracy and detail orientation.

Workflow optimization and organizational skills.

Case management skills.

Professional judgment and autonomy in nursing decisions.

Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Active, unencumbered RN license.

Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN).

Proficiency in written and verbal communication.

Prior experience in care coordination, triage, utilization review, or administrative RN roles preferred.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oklahoma City, OK.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $45.00/hr.
