Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented accounting clerk to join our team in Springfield, Kentucky. In this role, you will ensure accurate processing of invoices, payments, and vendor account management while contributing to the overall efficiency of our financial operations. This position requires a strong ability to handle multiple tasks, maintain confidentiality, and uphold high standards of accuracy.

Responsibilities:

Process weekly check runs to ensure timely and accurate payment to vendors.

Reconcile the Accounts Payable General Ledger on a weekly basis to confirm account accuracy.

Gather vendor information for approval and manage the setup process within the system.

Match invoices with corresponding documents, such as purchase orders and receiving records, for proper validation.

Enter approved invoices into the Accounts Payable system with precision.

Produce check registers for review and approval by the Controller.

Assist with monthly and annual closing procedures to ensure smooth financial reporting.

Conduct reviews of purchase orders to verify liabilities and ensure accuracy.

Communicate with suppliers to confirm the validity of invoices and resolve discrepancies.

Prepare detailed weekly and monthly cash forecasts as part of financial planning.

Requirements - Familiarity with Accounts Payable processes, including invoice coding and payment procedures.

Ability to manage check runs and ensure compliance with payment schedules.

Proficiency in processing and verifying invoices with a high level of accuracy.

Strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Analytical skills for reconciling financial accounts and preparing forecasts.

Knowledge of business administration and financial practices.

Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive financial information.

Effective communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal teams.
