Academic Endocrinologist (Position 3-309-1309)

The Endocrinology, Diabetes and Nutrition Division at the University of Maryland School of Medicineis seeking a clinician educator. This position will have a primary clinical focus at the University of Maryland Midtown Campus, providing outpatient endocrinology services and inpatient consultative care to a diverse patient population. The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary team including diabetes educators, nurse practitioners, and pharmacists, and will play an active role in medical student, resident, and endocrinology fellow education at this site. Opportunities exist to participate in community-based initiatives in diabetes and metabolic health, as well as clinical and quality improvement research. Expected faculty rank for this position will be Assistant Professor or higher, however, final rank, tenure status and salary will be commensurate with selected candidate's qualifications and experience. The expected salary range for Assistant Professors is $173,056 (min) and $272,378 (max). The referenced salary range represents the minimum and maximum salaries for this position and is based on the University of Maryland School of Medicine's good faith belief at the time of posting. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. The actual compensation offered to the selected candidate may vary and will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's geographic location, skills, work experience, internal equity, market conditions, education/training and other factors, as reasonably determined by the University.
