Fire Protection Engineering Intern - Dallas - Summer 2026

We are looking for a Fire Protection Engineering intern to join our Federal Services team in Dallas, TX. This is a hybrid role with the expectation to work from our Dallas offiec at least 3 days per week.

As an intern with our team you will work alongside a robust staff of experienced and licensed Fire Protection Engineers to develop and use your skills and experience to deliver and complete challenging and engaging buildings projects across many different markets and North American locations.

You will be working on the design and production of fire sprinkler systems, special hazards suppression systems, fire pumps, fire alarm and mass notification, and building/life safety codes analysis under the guidance of a knowledgeable team of experienced Fire Protection Engineers. Previous design experience is a plus, but we train employees on the job to learn and develop these skills so please do not self-select yourself out of a position and all that are interested in a career in fire protection engineering are encouraged to apply.

Currently enrolled in a degree seeking program in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Fire Protection Safety Technology or closely related degree

At least two years of college level coursework completed

United States Citizenship

Ideally, you'll also have:

3.0 GPA

Working knowledge of Revit and/or Autocad

Previous engineering design internship
