Partner teams own the strategy, recruiting, development, and growth of our key technology and consulting partners. The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Americas Financial Services Industry team is looking for an experienced Banking and Payments Industry Leader to work with our strategic partners to help Banking and Payments customers solve their business problems, develop and execute joint go-to-market (GTM) strategies, and collaborate with AWS sales and business development teams on specialized partner solutions.
Responsibilities include Banking and Payments industry partner pipeline management, leading the industry-wide partner development strategy for partners serving Banking and Payments customers (commercial banking, retail banking, digitally native banking, payment platforms, payment service providers, merchant acquirers, processors, payment networks, bank processors), managing strategic relationships with influential software vendors/consulting firms/systems integrators, and driving C-level, marketing, field and channel relationships.
You will possess a deep Banking and Payments industry background and consulting/sales/business development experience that enables you to engage at the CXO level with Banking and Payments industry customers and partners, and easily interact with partners, enterprise customers and sales/field reps. You have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business and technical challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions, in complex situations. You are a collaborative leader who can build mechanisms to drive customer outcomes in a highly-matrixed organization. The position requires a strong technical acumen, along with working knowledge of the financial services consulting services landscape.
Key job responsibilities
Develop and drive a strategy to build and grow a thriving community of Banking and Payments partners in the Americas.
Influence joint business plans with strategic partners serving Banking and Payments customers.
Work with partners to define and execute joint practice, sales and GTM programs.
Serve as a key member of the global Banking and Payments industry teams in helping to deliver the overall financial services partner strategy.
Engage partners' field sales organizations, channels, and end customers to create and drive revenue opportunities for AWS.
Set and manage revenue targets and drive collaboration between partners and AWS sales organizations to achieve/exceed goals.
Build mechanisms to drive engagement with key internal stakeholders in a highly-matrixed organization (e.g. sales, business development, specialists, partners, marketing, PR, legal, support, etc.)
Work with AWS marketing to include partners in relevant campaigns and promotional opportunities.
Develop and drive promotions, funding benefits, and incentives as appropriate.

Basic Qualifications
5+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience
5+ years of professional or military experience
5+ years of working with Core Cloud Technology Services, including, but not limited to Compute, Edge, Hybrid, Security, and/or Networking experience
5+ years of solving problems with technology in the Global Financial Services Industry experience
5+ years of Go-To-Market, Business Development, Sales, or Consulting experience
Bachelor's degree
Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level
Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
Experience selling enterprise software or cloud-based applications
Experience explaining complex technical concepts to various business and technical audiences
Preferred Qualifications
Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations
Experience identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
