Our client is a company that values quality, safety, and customer satisfaction in its construction projects. As a Project Manager, you will oversee all aspects of a project, ensuring it is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. You will have the opportunity to develop your leadership skills and construction expertise with the support of their leadership team. Some upcoming projects you might work on around central Indiana include a Car Wash, Westin School Early Learning Center, and a Lifetime Club House with a Water Park.

Responsibilities

Lead, direct, and coordinate day-to-day management and construction activities of projects.

Ensure overall safety, direction, completion, and financial outcome of construction projects from initial budget through project closeout.

Resolve day-to-day issues to ensure timely, safe, and profitable project completion.

Ensure customer satisfaction by identifying and exceeding client needs.

Manage project costs through ongoing evaluation of labor, material, and equipment.

Forecast and analyze construction costs, exposures, and profits until project completion.

Maintain good business relationships with owners, architects, and team members.

Make commitments to clients, architects, and subcontractors as needed for successful project completion.

Draft subcontracts and purchase orders in a timely manner.

Negotiate and execute owner and subcontractor change orders promptly.

Prepare and review project schedules to ensure adherence or necessary modifications.

Provide advice, guidance, leadership, and direction to all company members assigned to projects.

Plan and execute project meetings.

Establish job processes (RFIs, submittals, and pay applications), approve pay applications, and negotiate subcontract change orders.

Utilize construction software, Procore.

Collaborate and work well with teams.

Essential Skills

Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering preferred with 3+ years experience as Project Manager or 5+ years of Project Manager Experience without a degree.

Experience running 3-5 commercial projects at once.

Metal Stud, Metal Framing, or steel construction experience for the majority of project experience.

Ability to manage multiple projects of $5 Million or more in budget and a large project of $20 million plus.

Working knowledge of current market conditions, including pricing conventions and trends.

Strong construction acumen.

Ability to read and analyze construction documents.

Knowledge of contracting, purchasing, construction means and methods.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

OSHA 30 Hour Certification preferred.

Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Word, and Excel.

Procore Experience.

K12/institutional construction experience.

Sense of urgency.

Work as a team.

Managing the client experience.

Work Environment

In Office 5 days per week, with biweekly onsite project meetings that require short travel there and back to the office. All Project Managers have an assistant PM or PE to help with paperwork so they can focus on client experience. Truck reimbursement of $900 per month for vehicles 6 years or newer, and $350 for older vehicles. $75 Phone Reimbursement. Enjoy a golf fundraiser and company outings.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carmel, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $160000.00/hr.
