Job Title: Inventory Clerk Job Description
We are seeking a dependable, entry-level individual to assist with tracking, receiving, and managing truss driver parts, materials, and tools on our construction site. This individual will help maintain accurate inventory records, support small equipment maintenance, and manage documentation such as POLs, BOLs, and packing slips. The ideal candidate is organized, hands-on, and able to work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment.
Responsibilities
Receive, verify, and organize incoming shipments using Packing Slips, POLs (Purchase Order Logs), and BOLs (Bills of Lading).
Ensure all paperwork matches delivered items, document and report discrepancies to inventory movement and maintain accurate logs of truss driver parts, materials, tools, and consumables.
Tag and label inventory items with appropriate identifiers.
Rebuild and organize drill bits used for drilling.
Perform basic maintenance and minor repairs on site tools and equipment (e.g., hand tools, small power tools).
Maintain a clean, orderly inventory area, including tool cribs, laydown yards, and storage containers.
Issue tools and materials to site mechanics while logging usage and returns.
Use basic computer applications to update spreadsheets, perform data entry, and maintain digital inventory logs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Entry-level maintenance or mechanical aptitude is a plus.
Comfortable reading and interpreting packing slips, BOLs, and purchase orders.
Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and basic data entry skills is highly desirable.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and work in variable outdoor conditions.
Prior experience on a construction site or warehouse is a bonus but not required.
Forklift certification is a plus.
Work Environment
This role involves working onsite at active construction projects, often in outdoor environments. It is physically demanding and requires walking, bending, and lifting. Expect exposure to weather, dust, and standard construction site conditions.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
