We are seeking a highly experienced Multi-Cloud Engineering Technical Lead for a team of engineers and developers responsible for design, implementation, and optimization of cloud solutions across AWS, OCI, GCP, and Azure. This role will lead the delivery of a scalable cloud application that provides FinOps insights while driving enterprise FinOps initiatives, including the design and development of a cloud cost management platform.
The ideal candidate combines deep multi-cloud engineering expertise with financial governance experience and has successfully led engineering teams in cloud transformation and cost optimization programs.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
Accelerate application modernization and cloud adoption
Establish scalable multi-cloud governance
Reduce cloud waste and optimize total cloud spend
Provide Cost Tool Development oversight driving the team toward production
Build a high-performing FinOps engineering function
Support multi-cloud architecture strategy and solution design across AWS, OCI, GCP, and Azure to support scalable, secure, and resilient cloud applications
Architect and oversee the implementation of cloud-native and hybrid solutions, enabling rapid application stand-up and modernization initiatives
Drive the cloud Financial Operations (FinOps) technical strategy, governance, and cost optimization initiatives across all cloud platforms
Lead the design and development of a cloud cost management and reporting tool to provide real-time visibility, forecasting, and optimization insights
Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of FinOps engineers and cloud architects
Collaborate with engineering, DevOps, security, and finance stakeholders to align cloud architecture with business and financial objectives
Define and enforce cloud governance standards, policies, and best practices across environments
Provide executive-level reporting and strategic recommendations on cloud project status, performance, risk, and spend efficiency
Take ownership of ad hoc technical cloud initiatives, providing architectural leadership and hands-on execution for high-priority or complex projects
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Education : Bachelors degree in information technology or related field or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work experience
Required Experience : 10+ years of related experience in cloud architecture or enterprise infrastructure roles; 5+ years of hands-on experience across AWS, GCP and Azure; Experience with supervising technical teams
Required Technical Skills : Proven experience standing up cloud-native applications and enterprise platforms; Expertise in: Infrastructure as Code, Kubernetes (EKS, GKE, AKS), CI/CD pipelines; Cloud networking and security architectures; Experience integrating cloud billing data into BI or custom dashboards;
Attributes for Success : Strong leadership experience managing technical teams; Excellent stakeholder communication skills across engineering and finance
Preferred Skills : Bachelors or Masters degree preferred; Terraform preferred; AWS, OCI, Azure, or GCP Professional-level certifications; Government Contractor Experience; Experience integrating cloud billing data into BI or custom dashboards; Experience with data engineering pipelines for billing analytics; Experience with SaaS cost management platforms (Apptio, CloudHealth, Spot, etc.); Strong background in FinOps and cloud cost optimization initiatives; Background in building internal developer platforms
Location : 100% remote working
Travel: 10% travel - once a year
Security Clearance Level : Must be clearable for a CMS Public Trust - Applicants shall have lived in the United States at least 3 out of the last 5 years prior to going through the public trust background investigation and submitting an application for a Federal ID Card

The likely salary range for this position is $170,000 - $230,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
