Job Title: Warehouse Specialist Job Description

As a Warehouse Specialist, you will be responsible for receiving, storing, and issuing merchandise, materials, and equipment. Your duties will include filling shelves, racks, and tables, as well as fulfilling customer orders. You may also operate power equipment to assist in filling orders, mark prices on merchandise, and set up sales displays.

Responsibilities

Issue or distribute materials, products, parts, and supplies to customers or coworkers based on incoming requisitions.

Stock shelves, racks, cases, bins, and tables with new or transferred merchandise.

Operate equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.

Obtain merchandise from bins or shelves.

Receive, unload, open, unpack, or issue sales floor merchandise.

Label stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment.

Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards.

Clean display cases, shelves, and aisles.

Maintain records on the use or damage of stock or stock-handling equipment.

Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Determine proper storage methods, identification, and stock location, based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities.

Dispose of damaged or defective items, or return them to vendors.

Transport packages to customers' vehicles.

Essential Skills

Experience in picking, warehouse packing, and using RF scanners.

Proficiency in material handling, order picking, and operating a forklift.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Ability to operate power equipment safely and efficiently.

Attention to detail for labeling and stocking items correctly.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lowesville, NC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00/hr.
