POSITION SUMMARY:

The Assistant Office Manager is responsible for assisting the Office Manager with the organization and coordination of office operations, procedures and resources to facilitate organizational effectiveness and efficiency.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assists with assigning and monitoring clerical, administrative and secretarial responsibilities and tasks to support staff.

Assists in evaluating and managing staff performance and making recommendations and changes as necessary.

Provides direct support/ Supervision to the Support Staff

Acts as Office Manager in the absence of the Office Manager, when designated.

Receives telephone calls, answers questions, and screens visitors as needed.

Receives and reviews correspondence and documents and disseminates for appropriate action as needed.

Assists with planning, organizing, and carrying out the workload to appropriate staff members.

Assists with recruiting, onboarding, and training of Support Staff

Responsible for office payroll for the Bucks County DA's Office.

Assists with Intern selection, recruiting, and assessment

Prepares and submits Resolutions for Commissioners' meeting as needed.

Participates in discipline of office staff when appropriate.

Assists in establishing and maintaining office procedures.

Assists with establishing and maintaining operable computer case management programs by working with IT department and PSI, Inc., as needed.

Assists in ensuring office policies and procedures are adhered to and maintained.

Assists in implementing procedural and policy changes to improve operations and office efficiency.

Required to exercise discretion and work independently as needed.

Performs other duties, as assigned.
