Baylor Scott & White Outpatient Rehabilitation - Forney

Baylor Scott & White Outpatient Rehabilitation - Forney is north of US Hwy. 80 on FM 548 and less than 30 minutes to Rockwall, Mesquite, Rowlett, Dallas, and Sunnyvale. Our staff of licensed physical therapists specialize in orthopedic physical therapy. We are dedicated to helping patients recover from injuries, illnesses, and chronic conditions. We care for patients with sports injuries, back and neck pain, joint problems, balance disorders, and work-related injuries. Our individually tailored treatment plans will help you quickly return to your daily activities, work duties, and recreational pursuits.

This is a part-time position with a total of 48 hours per pay period and 8 hours per day, making this an ideal position for someone who is in school, or just wanting to work about 24 hours per week. We prefer candidates who have experience and can work independently.

Job Summary

The Physical Therapist 1 provides care by evaluating, planning, and implementing treatment. They also educate patients and plan discharges to maximize function.

Essential Functions of the Role

Evaluates, treats and monitors patient. Modifies therapy program and goals.

Performs thorough and concise clinical documentation in a timely manner. Enters charges accurately. Knows about reimbursement related to practice setting.

Communicates effectively with patients, families, coworkers, and the medical care team. Provides education to patients, family, and staff.

Supervises ancillary staff, students and volunteers.

Advances clinical skills through ongoing education, literature review and implementation of evidence-based practice.

Dispenses knowledge to develop the clinical skills of colleagues. Adheres to organizational, national, and state regulatory guidelines.

Maintains awareness of system goals. Aligns personal goals and work activities to uphold or impact the system goals.

Must possess problem solving skills of the @type and at a level necessary to accomplish the job.

Must have good communication skills. Be able to relate professionally and positively to patients, their family members, and facility staff.

Exhibits exceptional face-to-face synergy and leadership skills with all levels of the healthcare team. Assures excellent customer service to patients, visitors, physicians, and coworkers.

Possesses proficient computer knowledge; operates multiple computer systems and standard Rehabilitation equipment.

High attention to detail in fast paced and dynamic environment.

Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining a high level of productivity.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION - Masters' or Bachelors plus 2 years of work experience above the minimum qualification

EXPERIENCE - Less than 1 Year of Experience

CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION -

Physical Therapist (PT)

Basic Life Support (BLS): BLS or BLS within 30 days of hire or transfer.
