Job Title: Polisher and Buffer

Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Polisher and Buffer, where you'll begin by using a hand grinder to smooth out rough edges and polish metal to a fine finish. You will have the opportunity to cross-train into basic fabrication, including cutting metal to length using a tape measure, brake press operations, spot welding, buffing, and racking for paint. Additionally, you'll provide support to other departments such as assembly, packaging, and paint as needed.

Responsibilities

Smooth and polish metal surfaces using a hand grinder.

Cross-train in basic fabrication tasks like metal cutting, brake press operation, and spot welding.

Assist in assembly, packaging, and paint departments as required.

Ensure accurate measurements using a tape measure.

Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Essential Skills

Mechanical aptitude developed through work experience, education, or hobbies.

Experience with sheet metal and grinding.

Proficient in measurement skills and basic math.

Experience with hand and power tools, welding, fabrication, and sheet metal.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

6 months of manufacturing experience.

Proficiency in reading a tape measure.

Experience with hand and power tools.

Shop classes such as welding, automotive, woodworking, and machine/tool.

Work in a large, fast-paced manufacturing facility that requires a high level of self-motivation. The environment can be physically demanding and is not temperature-controlled, which means it can get hot during the summer months. The campus is smoke-free, ensuring a clean and healthy work atmosphere.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Anoka, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.84 - $22.09/hr.
