Entry Level Assembler

Job Title: Assembler

Pay: $19-20/hr

Shift Openings:

1st shift: 6:15am- 2:45pm

2nd Shift: 3pm-11:30pm

Job Description

We are seeking motivated individuals to support our assembly and material handling teams. The role involves working on production and product packaging, using hand and power tools to perform assemblies on an assembly line. You will follow specific work procedures to complete builds and receive training in shipping and receiving to support the warehouse and materials team responsible for managing inventory and supporting production.

Responsibilities

Assemble and test robotics components.

Perform material movement and data collection tasks.

Conduct manual assembly and component testing.

Perform visual inspections to ensure quality.

Track and reconcile inventory accurately.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in using a variety of hand tools for assembling and repairing large mechanical assemblies.

Manual dexterity for assembly tasks.

Strength and endurance to assemble, install, and test larger components (up to 50 lbs).

Ability to use basic power tools.

Capability to follow detailed work instructions for each assembly job.

Teamwork and effective communication skills.

Ability to learn new duties and work with minimal supervision.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Basic knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, including 5S and Kaizen.

Experience with manufacturing execution systems.

Certification or degree in electro-mechanical fields.

Experience in material handling and using pallet jacks.

Any experience with shipping processes.

Work Environment

The position operates on a 1st shift schedule from 6:15 am to 2:45 pm, offering a dynamic and collaborative work environment where you'll be cross-trained to ensure versatility within the team.

This is a Contract position based out of North Reading, MA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
