Job Posting: Plastic Injection Molding Machine Operator (Lead / Supervisor)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Plastic Injection Molding Machine Operator to take on a leadership role supervising a team of 10 operators . This position is ideal for someone who is hands-on, technically skilled, and confident in guiding others in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Operate, set up, and troubleshoot plastic injection molding machines

Lead, train, and supervise a team of 10 machine operators

Ensure production goals, quality standards, and safety protocols are consistently met

Perform mold changes, machine adjustments, and basic maintenance

Collaborate with quality and engineering teams to resolve production issues

Maintain accurate production and shift documentation

Support continuous improvement initiatives across the department

Required Experience & Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of plastic injection molding experience

Minimum 2 years of tool & die experience

Prior leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred

Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions

Commitment to safety, quality, and team development

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mason City, IA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $27.00/hr.
