Job Summary and Qualifications
Position Summary: Under guidelines set by policy and general supervision of the Administrative Director of Rehab Services, the Manager of OT/PT/ST:
· Create an environment and culture that enables Rehabilitation Services to fulfill the mission of RMC.
· Is responsible for integrating their department's services with the hospitals primary functions.
· Coordinates and integrates services within their department(s) and with other departments.
· Develops and implements policies and procedures that guide and support the provision of services.
· Ensures all Inpatient Acute Rehabilitation specialty program metrics regulatory requirements are met
Is responsible for inpatient acute therapy/outpatient therapy
· Recommends a sufficient number of qualified and competent persons to provide care/service and assures the qualifications and competence of those staff members (who are not licensed independent practitioners) meet the needs of patient care and non-patient care services.
· Provides orientation, in-service training, and continuing education of all persons in their department(s).
· Continuously assesses and improves their department's performance and maintains appropriate quality control programs.
· Stays current and maintains compliance with state and accreditation agencies regulatory requirements for PT/OT/ST and implementation of evidence based programs and services · Recommends space and other resources needed by the department and participates in selecting outside resources needed by their department(s).
· Acts as the liaison between physicians and the patient care team and works cooperatively with administrators, physicians, staff and other managers and all customers of RMC
· Demonstrates high ethical standards in customer service through all interactions with patients/families/co-workers/staff and other departments, physicians, community, vendors and all others
· The position will be responsible for all employees timekeeping, payroll, evaluations · Providing clinical care of patients as needed and according to therapist training
· Performs other duties as assigned by Administrative Program Director of Rehab Services.
What qualifications you will need:
Education: Bachelor's, Master's or Doctoral degree in PT, Bachelor's or Master's degree in OT, or Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited graduate program.
Knowledge/Professional Licensure/Registration/Certifications: Current State professional licensure or license eligible. Current BLS required.
Experience: 3-5 years clinical experience in an inpatient acute care/rehabilitation setting and one year of supervisory experience in the rehabilitation field is required
Administrative Skills: Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills; Diagnostic skills consistent with professional degree.
Equipment/Machine Skills: Proficient with computer software programs. Proficient with patient care related equipment.
