As a Security Officer - Manufacturing & Industrial in Kankakee, IL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Front Desk Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will welcome employees and visitors, manage access check-ins, issue credentials, and monitor security-related systems and cameras. You will handle calls, document incidents, and coordinate with onsite teams to help to deter unwanted activity while delivering professional customer service. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service at the front desk by following Allied Universal site-specific procedures and security-related policies, including answering calls, greeting visitors, and directing employees and guests.

Control access to the manufacturing and industrial location by verifying identification, issuing temporary badges, maintaining visitor and vendor logs, and coordinating with on-site contacts for approvals.

Monitor security-related systems such as CCTV, alarms, and access control panels from the desk, documenting irregular activity and reporting concerns through the chain of command to help to deter unauthorized access.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating emergency response activities as directed by post orders and contacting appropriate internal and external resources.

Complete detailed written reports, incident documentation, and shift turnover notes, maintaining accurate records of security-related activities and communications.

Minimum Requirements:

Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

A guard card and/or security-related license is preferred.

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
