A growing national firm is seeking an Associate to join their team in the Bay Area. This position will involve managing a litigation caseload and preparing for trial. You will be working in a dynamic environment where you will be expected to independently manage tasks and contribute to the team. Responsibilities:

Independently manage a litigation caseload, from case inception to trial

Conduct depositions and prepare witnesses for deposition and trial

Review and analyze discovery requests and respond accordingly

Prepare and respond to discovery responses and pleadings

Prepare court filings and ensure service to counsel; experience with e-filing is a plus

Assist in trial preparation and provide support during trials

Maintain accurate time records relating to case management

Use skills such as defending depositions, trial preparation, drafting motions, and arguing motions to effectively handle cases

Utilize civil litigation experience to navigate complex legal matters.

Requirements

Licensed to practice law in California.

2+ years of experience in civil litigation.

The candidate must possess the ability to argue motions effectively.

Demonstrable experience in civil litigation is mandatory.

The associate should be proficient in defending depositions.

The role requires skills in trial preparation.

Drafting motions is an essential part of the job function.
