The Loan Phone Agent plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient closing of loans. Acting as a liaison between brokers, settlement agents, and internal teams, this role supports communication, documentation, and compliance to facilitate successful loan closings. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or entry-level candidates interested in building a career in the mortgage industry.

Key Responsibilities

Handle 15-25 inbound calls daily from brokers and settlement agents; respond to portal messages and inquiries

Support closing, funding, and financial departments by answering customer questions

Prepare documents, clear titles, and troubleshoot third-party orders (title, appraisal, hazard, flood cert, credit, etc.)

Coordinate loan closings, ensuring all parties are informed and prepared

Evaluate loan applications for product and regulatory compliance

Manage communication with brokers, clients, and internal teams to resolve issues

Maintain accurate records of loan closing activities

Perform appraisal eligibility tasks and other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in finance, real estate, or related field preferred

Mortgage, title, escrow, or financial services experience preferred but not required

Strong phone etiquette, patience, and customer service skills

Ability to quickly learn new processes and adapt to changes

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite; Encompass software experience preferred

Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills

General understanding of applicable federal, state, and local regulations

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Moorpark, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
