Loan Closer - Support

Description We are looking for an experienced Loan Closer to join our team in Westlake Village, California. In this Contract to permanent role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring loan files are reviewed and processed accurately while adhering to compliance standards. This position involves close collaboration with third-party agencies to finalize loan closings efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities:

Review approved loan files to confirm all underwriting conditions have been met.

Verify loan terms, rates, fees, and funding requirements for accuracy.

Prepare and reconcile the Closing Disclosure (CD) or settlement statements.

Ensure compliance with required timing regulations and internal standards.

Assemble closing packages, including notes, deeds of trust or mortgages, riders, and affidavits.

Validate title commitments, insurance policies, and lien positions for accuracy.

Examine closing conditions thoroughly before authorizing funding.

Coordinate with escrow, title companies, attorneys, and settlement agents to facilitate smooth closings.

Schedule and confirm signing appointments with all relevant parties.

Provide final figures and funding instructions to settlement agents to ensure seamless transactions. Requirements - Minimum of 5 years of experience in mortgage closing or related roles.

Proficiency with loan origination systems, such as Encompass.

Strong knowledge of mortgage processing and closing procedures.

Familiarity with preparing Closing Disclosures and settlement statements.

Experience working with third-party entities, including title companies and settlement agents.

Ability to ensure compliance with investor, regulatory, and internal guidelines.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Strong communication skills for effective coordination with external and internal teams.
