Manufacturing Engineering InternCompany: Jabil, Inc.Location: [Specify Location - e.g., St. Petersburg, FL; Guadalajara, Mexico; etc.]Job Type: Internship (Paid)---Job SummaryAs a Manufacturing Engineering Intern at Jabil, Inc., you will play a supportive role in optimizing manufacturing processes, improving efficiency, and contributing to the development and implementation of innovative solutions. This is an excellent opportunity for aspiring engineers to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic, global manufacturing environment.---Job Responsibilities Assist manufacturing engineers in analyzing existing production lines and identifying areas for improvement in efficiency, quality, and cost. Support the development and implementation of new manufacturing processes, equipment, and tooling. Participate in time studies, process mapping, and data collection to identify bottlenecks and optimize workflow. Contribute to the creation and maintenance of manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, process flow diagrams, and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and design engineering, to resolve technical issues and support continuous improvement initiatives. Assist in troubleshooting manufacturing equipment and processes to minimize downtime. Conduct research and present findings on new technologies, materials, or manufacturing methods that could benefit Jabil. Participate in lean manufacturing and Six Sigma projects, learning and applying relevant methodologies. Perform other duties as assigned to support the manufacturing engineering department.---Job Qualifications Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Strong academic record with a GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred. Basic understanding of manufacturing principles, process improvement methodologies, and industrial automation concepts. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) is a plus. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Proactive, self-motivated, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.* Must be legally authorized to work in [Country of Internship Location] during the internship period.
