As a Security Officer - Industrial Rover Driver in Palo Alto, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed, driving patrol officer supporting a busy retail and mall location. You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, assist guests and store teams with directions and concerns, and document observations using a computer and/or tablet. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail and mall location.

Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of common areas, storefront corridors, parking lots, loading areas, and perimeter routes; working environments and conditions may vary by site.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with medical calls, disturbances, suspicious activity, and fire or intrusion alarms.

Monitor access points and public areas, observe for policy violations, and help to deter theft, vandalism, and other unwanted activity through visible presence and timely reporting.

Document patrol activity, incidents, and other security-related observations in written reports and communicate updates to site management and Allied Universal supervision as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

A minimum of 6 months of security-related experience is required.

A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.

Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
