Mission Support and Test Services, LLC (MSTS) manages and operates the Nevada National Security Site (NNSS) for the U.S. National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA). Responsiblities
The Business Assistant III - Supply Chain serves as the primary logistical and procurement point of contact for the Protective Force (ProForce). This role is responsible for managing the complete supply chain lifecycle, from submitting purchase orders for tactical equipment, uniforms, and office supplies to ensuring compliance with all procurement guidelines. This position maintains an accurate inventory of all ProForce equipment and clothing through regular counts and asset tracking, issuing items to personnel, and processing returns or excess equipment. Key duties include coordinating with vendors, managing stock levels to prevent shortages, and delivering supplies to various security stations and facilities.
Key Responsibilities
Perform various complex administrative, clerical, and/or operations support duties and responsibilities.
Manage the procurement process for all Protective Force (ProForce) supplies, including tactical equipment, clothing, office supplies, etc.
Submit purchase orders, ensure compliance with procurement guidelines and policies, and coordinate with vendors and buyers. Order and deliver supplies across various security stations and facilities.
Maintain an accurate inventory of ProForce equipment and clothing through monthly counts and management of sensitive items in asset tracking systems.
Provide critical logistical support for ProForce operations and facilities. Prepare, issue and track equipment and resources for training events and projects.
Submit and keep track of Facility Maintenance work requests.
Coordinates equipment repairs (e.g., radios) and act as the alternate MESA Shipping Requester to move equipment on and off site.
Implement records management program. Maintain files of various historical data.
Submit Ergonomic Assessment requests for approved furniture.
Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent, and at least 3 years of related experience.
Knowledge of supply chain, procurement, and inventory management principles and practices.
Able to use personal computer, printers, copiers, telephones, fax machines, calculators, and other general office equipment.
Able to follow oral and written instruction and follow through on all assignments.
Able to apply knowledge of a broad range of specialized functions and assist in coordinating activities with those of other work groups.
Able to demonstrate creativity in how work is performed and in addressing work processes.
Able to plan/organize work to complete in the most efficient manner and meet required deadlines.
Able to deal with pressure of handling multiple tasks, complaints, frequent interruptions, and time constraints.
Knowledge of basic math, grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
Able to engage in bending, stooping, reaching, and physical exertion. Work is performed in an office, warehouse setting, and frequent travel between security stations.
The primary work location will be at the Nevada National Security Site (located 65 miles northwest of Las Vegas, Nevada).
Work schedule will be 4/10s Monday through Thursday (subject to change).
Pre-placement physical examination, which includes a drug screen, is required. MSTS maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing.
Must possess a valid driver's license.
MSTS is required by DOE directive to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, law enforcement records, and employment/education verifications. Applicants offered employment with MSTS are also subject to a federal background investigation to meet the requirements for access to classified information or matter if the duties of the position require a DOE security clearance. Substance abuse or illegal drug use, falsification of information, criminal activity, serious misconduct or other indicators of untrustworthiness can cause a clearance to be denied or terminated by DOE, resulting in the inability to perform the duties assigned and subsequent termination of employment. In addition, Applicants for employment must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship, at least 18 years of age. Department of Energy Q Clearance (position will be cleared to this level). Hourly salary range for this position is: $24.75 - $37.13.
Starting salary is determined based on the position market value, the individual candidate education and experience and internal equity.
