Finance Assistant

Description We are looking for a dedicated Finance Assistant to join our team in Brattleboro, Vermont. In this long-term contract role, you will play an essential part in managing accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, and supporting financial processes. If you have a strong background in accounting and a keen eye for detail, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities:

Process and manage accounts payable transactions with accuracy and attention to detail.

Handle accounts receivable operations, including invoicing and collections.

Perform timely and accurate reconciliation of accounts to ensure financial records are up-to-date.

Support billing functions by preparing and reviewing invoices.

Assist with general accounting tasks to maintain financial integrity.

Monitor and resolve discrepancies in financial data promptly.

Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.

Maintain compliance with financial regulations and organizational policies.

Prepare periodic financial reports as required by management.

Provide support for audits and other financial reviews. Requirements - Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounting or finance-related roles.

Proficiency in handling accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

Familiarity with billing functions and account reconciliation.

Strong understanding of general accounting principles and practices.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Proficiency in accounting software and tools.
