Overview

The Food Bank Coordinator position is designed to recruit, coordinate and encourage volunteers that come to The Salvation Army of Beaver Falls. This position also ensures that the Food Bank Distribution and related services operate correctly and that volunteers are in place to conduct the various aspects of the services each day. This position will complete maintenance and custodial duties on a regular basis to ensure a professional and neat appearance whether completed by volunteers or by Property Manager

Responsibilities

1.Schedule volunteers for the food bank2.Maintain accurate volunteer files for follow-up and coordination3.Host an annual volunteer appreciation event4.Recruit new volunteers for the food bank and building maintenance5.Attend County, and Regional Meetings as The Salvation Army's Beaver Falls Corps representative for the food bank program6.Plan menu of the Food Bank each Month7.Plan, Review with the Corps Officers and Order food from the Food Bank.8.Schedule the Food Bank Deliveries9.Represent the Salvation Army of Beaver Falls at local volunteer fairs10.Maintain accurate files of volunteer hours provided each month11.Work with and Coordinate Volunteers for the Food Bank12.Oversee the Baked Good Distribution and its Volunteers13.Ensure proper Maintenance of records of Clients of the food bank for statistical purposes14.Ensure that the food bank remains within budget15.Seek out other sources for Gift in Kind Donations to benefit the food bank and Related Services16.Pick-Up community food donations as needed17.Any other tasks as designated by the Corps Officers that would be beneficial to the continued development of the Beaver Falls Corps

Qualifications

1.Current Pennsylvania Driver's License with good Driving Record2.High School Diploma or GED3.Ability to Drive a 12-Passenger Van4.Strong Communication Skills5.A Love and Compassion for people who volunteer with out programs6.The ability to work with limited supervision to complete tasks in a timely and orderly fashion7.A love for the ministry and mission of The Salvation Army
