Job Title: Accounts Payable Clerk

Location: North Brunswick, NJ (On-site)

Pay: $24/hr

Job Description

The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for processing invoices received for payment and ensuring accurate and timely payments to vendors and suppliers. This role requires a keen attention to detail, proficiency in accounting software, and excellent communication skills to effectively interact with internal departments and external vendors.

Responsibilities

Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.

Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and vendor accounts on a regular basis.

Process invoices, expense reports, and payments in a timely and organized manner.

Prepare weekly, biweekly, and monthly financial reports as needed.

Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.

Support budgeting, cash flow tracking, and financial forecasting tasks.

Prepare and review certified payroll reports to ensure compliance with prevailing wage and labor requirements.

Verify employee hours, classifications, and wage rates for accuracy.

Submit certified payroll documentation to the appropriate agencies or project authorities by required deadlines.

Maintain confidentiality and accurate recordkeeping for all payroll-related data.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

1+ years of Accounts Payable experience

Bachelor's degree in accounting

Strong MS Excel skills

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Brunswick, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr.

Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
