Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and friendly Medical Receptionist to join our team in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. In this contract position, you will play a key role in ensuring smooth operations by providing exceptional support to patients and medical staff. If you have experience in medical, dental, or veterinary environments, and are eager to learn, this role could be a great fit for you.

Responsibilities:

Greet and check in patients upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming and attentive experience.

Schedule and confirm appointments, including making call reminders for upcoming visits.

Prepare and organize patient charts to ensure accuracy and readiness for medical staff.

Process co-payments and handle basic financial transactions accurately.

Assist with medication authorizations and communicate with healthcare providers as needed.

Manage the multi-line phone system, answering calls promptly and directing inquiries appropriately.

Facilitate patient check-out procedures, ensuring all necessary follow-ups are scheduled.

Requirements - Minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical, dental, or veterinary setting is preferred.

Familiarity with basic medical terminology and administrative procedures.

Proficiency in managing a multi-line phone system and directing calls appropriately.

Strong organizational skills, including the ability to schedule and maintain appointments efficiently.

Ability to handle patient check-in and check-out processes with accuracy and professionalism.

Experience preparing and managing patient charts in a healthcare environment.
