The Grant Specialist III position in CDOO with the Colorado Disability Funding Committee will provide quality grant coordination for both state and federal grants as assigned. The Grant Specialist is responsible for the administration and coordination of grants awarded by the Colorado Disability Funding Committee. This position serves as a resource and subject-matter expert for grant coordination activities. As a grant generalist, the position is primarily tasked with tracking and reconciling grant outcomes and expenditures, quarterly reporting, grant provision, and grantee technical assistance. The position administers and coordinates grants and funding from state and federal sources. The Grant Specialist will be responsible for supporting grantmaking from federal and state sources on behalf of CDOO and managing grantee performance and technical assistance. The Grant Specialist works closely with the CDOO team to collaborate on joint projects and assignments related to grant implementation.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience Only:
Six (6) years of relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned to this position to include any combination of:
Accounting
Grant accounting
Profit & Loss analysis
Program fund tracking and budgeting
OR
Education and Experience:
A combination of related education and/or relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned equal to six (6) years
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with State of Colorado/Federal grant regulations.
Experience with grant appropriations.
Accounting degree or related training.
Experience performing similar duties as a State of Colorado classified employee.
Conditions of Employment:
Must be a current resident of Colorado.
Must pass a thorough background check prior to employment which will include the E-Verify process.
