JOB PURPOSE: Supports daily production operations across multiple manufacturing processes, including stamping presses, heat treating, deburring, and tool and die building and sharpening.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Setup, operate, and monitor stamping presses in accordance with work instructions and safety standards.

Assist with heat treat operations, including loading and unloading parts, and monitoring process parameters.

Perform deburring operations using manual and powered tolls to meet part specifications.

Support tool and die building, repair, and sharpening activities.

Perform in process inspections using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other measuring instruments to ensure product specifications are met.

Assist in the setup, adjustment, and changeover of tooling and dies.

Perform basic troubleshooting of equipment issues and report concerns promptly.

Maintain tools, dies, and equipment in a clean, safe, and functional condition.

Read and interpret work instructions, blue prints, process sheets, and engineering drawings.

Identify non-conforming parts and communicate issues to supervision or quality personnel.

Maintain accurate production documentation and inspection records.

Maintain appropriate records.

Maintains a safe working environment by complying with all safety and environmental policies in the workplace. Advocates for and promotes a safe work environment by reporting near misses and/or other safety and environmental hazards, wearing all required PPE and encouraging others to do the same.

Perform other duties as assigned to support production needs.

Experiences, Competencies, Skills and Education:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Previous experience with stamping presses, heat treat, deburring, or tool and die work preferred.

Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn multiple manufacturing processes.

Basic math and measuring skills.

The ability to interpret blue prints and tolerances.

Overhead crane and forklift experience.

Dependable with strong attendance record.

Capable of working to verbal and/or written instructions, standard procedures, production schedules, and routing/work order information.

Responsible, self-motivated and conscientious displaying high integrity.

Personable, energetic and enthusiastic with a positive attitude.
