Job Title: Warehouse Supervisor

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily operations in a dynamic warehouse setting. This is a temporary 3-month assignment with the possibility of extension, tasked with managing warehouse operations while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Responsibilities

Manage and oversee 4-5 Union Warehouse Operators during the shift.

Route and schedule company-owned trucks using internal software.

Ensure orders are picked accurately, follow FIFO, and trucks are loaded correctly.

Pick orders for trucks as needed and support the 1st Shift Supervisor if trucks arrive late.

Serve as a liaison between Customer Service and customers to ensure timely order processing.

Utilize warehouse and routing software systems, with SAP and D Track experience as strong pluses.

Monitor warehouse operations to ensure productivity, safety, and quality.

Ensure proper stock rotation and organization in the warehouse.

Ensure Finished Goods are shipped according to FEFO order and quality standards.

Complete all warehouse documentation accurately and maintain up-to-date SAP transactions.

Communicate operational, inventory, safety, and quality issues to Management and other departments.

Enforce adherence to company policies and procedures by colleagues and outside contractors.

Generate and participate in accident reports and investigations.

Provide job training for employees and maintain training records.

Evaluate capex requirements with management to enhance warehouse performance.

Ensure receiving, picking, and shipping are done efficiently and safely.

Provide hands-on supervision to motivate workers and seek process improvements.

Anticipate issues that may impact warehouse performance and address them effectively.

Alleviate worker grievances through effective listening and firm actions.

Essential Skills

3 years experience in a distribution & logistics supervisory role.

Experience in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to manage 4-5 associates.

Strong communication skills for staff and customer service.

Supervisory skills in a warehouse environment.

Proficient in supply chain and warehouse inventory management.

High School Diploma or GED required.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Strong computer and software literacy.

Prior experience with SAP and/or D Track is a plus.

Experience operating a rider is helpful but not required.

Comfort leading in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Extensive practical knowledge in warehouse, safety, and HACCP standards.

Proficient in MS Office.

Work Environment

This position operates within a brand new, food manufacturing environment that complies with all CGMP and HAACP guidelines. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM, with flexibility for overtime as needed. The role requires approximately 50% on the floor and 50% in shared office space. Steel toe work boots are required.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $32.00/hr.
