Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our team FULLY ON-SITE on a short-term (5 days) contract basis in White Plains, New York. In this role, you will support our legal department by updating and organizing banking and insurance contracts, vendor agreements, and other legal documents. This position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to manage various legal tasks efficiently within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Review and update insurance and banking contracts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards.

Organize and maintain relevant legal documentation to streamline workflows.

Perform e-filing tasks and manage electronic court filings.

Coordinate and oversee calendar management to ensure deadlines are met and schedules are maintained.

Assist with preparing and submitting court filings in accordance with procedural guidelines.

Collaborate with the legal team to support ongoing projects and initiatives.

Ensure all legal documentation is properly cleaned up and categorized during the project timeframe.

Provide administrative support to attorneys and other legal staff as needed.

Maintain confidentiality and ensure sensitive information is handled appropriately.

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of experience in a legal assistant role within the financial services industry or similar.

Proficiency in e-filing and electronic court filing systems.

Strong understanding of civil litigation processes and procedures.

Demonstrated ability to manage calendars and coordinate schedules effectively.

Familiarity with contracts and vendor agreement management.

Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

High level of professionalism and attention to detail.
