This position contributes to Starbucks success by providing administrative support of a confidential and complex nature to leaders in the North America Licensed Coffeehouse business. Handles confidential information, routine and non-routine tasks and carries out activities following general administrative guidelines. Models and acts in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles.
As an admin assistant of Licensed Coffeehouse business, you will...
Provides administrative support to vp and director level leaders. Effectively plans and maintains multiple leaders' calendars with attention to accuracy, detail and allocation of time and resources to promote productivity and successful execution of executive and team goals and objectives
Serves as a point of contact for the business unit or department. Answers questions, directs requests to appropriate partners and works with other partners effectively to exchange information. Escorts visitors within the Support Center.
Develops strong working relationships within the teams they support
May serve as a host for meetings and department activities
Schedules domestic and international travel in compliance with existing policies and procedures
Performs administrative projects including coordinating, tracking or analyzing budgets; researching information to respond to questions; updating databases and organizational charts. May research background material and collect data for meetings, events and correspondence
May create various charts, tables, graphs and presentation materials, sometimes containing confidential content. Edits copy for spelling, grammar, layout and branding.
Organizes and schedules team and department meetings, arranges for live and audio-visual equipment, sets up meeting facilities.
Actively engages with administrative team within Licensed Coffeehouses to share best practices, cascade communications and develop open communication paths
Advises department in awareness of and compliance with company policies and procedure
We'd love to hear from people with:
3 or more years of experience in a role performing administrative assistant or coordinator job functions
Self-starter and ability to work independently as well as on a team
Demonstrates confidence, composure and professionalism
Demonstrated problem-solving skills and aptitude for learning new concepts on the job
Ability to balance multiple priorities and projects, meet deadlines and follow through on commitments
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, with attention to detail
Ability to deliver consistently high quality and professional customer service to both internal and external customers
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
Knowledge of general office administration, procedures and equipment and intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

*If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above. For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above.
The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. At Starbucks, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
