Supply Chain Transportation Intern

Scheduled Hours: 8:00am-5:00 pm Monday through Friday

Pay: $22/hour

Major Responsibilities:

Apply analytical and technical skills to solve real business problems within the Supply Chain Transportation organization.

Support the development of data-driven tools, dashboards, and processes using Power BI, SQL, and data-warehouse environments.

Pull, clean, and interpret large datasets to identify trends, performance gaps, and operational opportunities.

Assist in building or enhancing SQL-based applications, queries, and reporting solutions that improve decision-making and operational visibility.

Compile and analyze business and operational data to support recommendations for process improvements.

Complete 1-2 analytics-focused projects over 6-8 weeks, including research, data modeling, insights generation, and presenting findings and recommendations to senior leadership in a 30-minute presentation.

Perform additional duties as assigned.

Skills/Knowledge Required:

Strong analytical mindset with the ability to work with large datasets, identify patterns, and translate findings into actionable insights.

Experience with SQL (writing queries, joining tables, building datasets) and comfort working within a data warehouse environment.

Ability to build and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations.

Critical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.

Curiosity and a proactive approach to asking questions, exploring data, and validating assumptions.

Ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate within a team environment.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

Leadership qualities and the ability to influence decision-making through data-driven recommendations.

Education and Experience:

Preferred degree would be business focused: Supply Chain, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Business Analytics, Management, etc.

Preferred (but not required) minimum cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0
