Looking for a summer adventure and a lifetime of memories?Look no further, Silver Bay YMCA would love for you to join our team! Located in Silver Bay, New York on the shores of Lake George in the beautiful Adirondacks, Silver Bay YMCA is 700 acres of endless possibilities. Founded over 100 years ago, Silver Bay YMCA is a mission-driven Conference Center, Children's Day Camp and Family Retreat that serves over 800 people per week during the summer season. Silver Bay offers a variety of activities to their guests, including swimming, boating, fitness classes, indoor climbing, high and low ropes courses, tennis, pickleball, archery, basketball, hiking, lectures, string quartet concerts, and a, arts and crafts studio. Seasonal employees and volunteers at Silver Bay range from individuals working their first job to retirees. Employees come from all over the nation and the world, creating a diverse staff.

SERVE Team is a group of volunteers work 20-24hrs per week alongside our seasonal and year-round staff.

Seasonal volunteer opportunities at Silver Bay YMCA start between mid-May and mid-June, with the opportunity to stay as long as mid-November.

In order for Silver bay to accomplish their mission, Volunteers have the option of free room and board.

General Information:

Beginning in early February Silver Bay YMCA will begin reviewing all complete applications and scheduling interviews for qualified applicants.

When identifying your arrival and departure date, please be as specific as possible and keep in mind that we are very busy Memorial Day through Labor Day.

If you worked for Silver Bay within the last 3 years, you do not need to supply references.

SERVE Team volunteers interested in on campus housing must be 18 years or older to qualify.
