Accountant - Entry Level

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Entry-Level Accountant to join our team in Parsippany, New Jersey. In this role, you will assist in managing various accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards. This is a fantastic opportunity to build your career in accounting within the manufacturing industry. This is a long-term contract position.

Responsibilities:

Perform account coding and ensure proper classification of financial transactions.

Utilize accounting software systems to maintain accurate financial records.

Prepare and analyze accounting entries to support monthly and annual reporting.

Reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies promptly.

Assist with accounts payable tasks, including verifying invoices and processing payments.

Conduct account analysis to identify trends and support financial decision-making.

Use ERP solutions, such as Dynamics NAV, to manage and streamline accounting processes.

Apply expertise in Adobe Acrobat for document review and financial reporting.

Support the implementation and optimization of accounting functions to improve efficiency.

Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with organizational accounting policies. Requirements - Basic understanding of account coding principles and practices.

Experience with accounting software systems and ERP platforms like Dynamics NAV.

Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat for document management and reporting.

Strong analytical skills for account reconciliation and financial analysis.

Familiarity with accounts payable processes, including invoice verification and payment.

Ability to accurately prepare accounting entries and maintain records.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Effective communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate within a team environment.
