Electrical Quality Control Inspector
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Quality Control Inspector to oversee operations at a Data Center construction site. The successful candidate will serve as a liaison for the client, coordinating with the general contractor and other subcontractors. Strong communication skills and a solid understanding of Electrical Systems are essential, with a background as an electrician or in a similar role being highly desirable.
Responsibilities
Support in ensuring tasks are executed to high-quality standards.
Assist in distributing daily assignments and clarifying responsibilities among team members.
Provide guidance and hands-on support to junior staff to ensure they understand commissioning tasks.
Monitor task completion and report progress or areas requiring attention.
Contribute to building a culture of accountability, safety, and teamwork.
Assist in coordinating with Cadence and collaborating with IPS/T5 to align on L1-L5 commissioning activities.
Participate in coordination meetings, capturing action items and distributing notes to stakeholders.
Track dependencies between Cadence, IPS, and T5 to flag potential conflicts.
Ensure documentation from meetings is updated into schedules, dashboards, and trackers.
Provide administrative and technical support to maintain alignment among all parties.
Maintain and update the energization schedule, ensuring timely and safe startup coordination.
Enter daily energization progress and changes into project management tools.
Track completed energization tasks and flag variances or delays for review.
Verify that all data entries match approved MOPs and energization procedures.
Help ensure startup sequencing is properly documented and accessible to all teams.
Assist in creating and managing the L3 startup schedule, tracking milestones and reporting conflicts.
Record updates to the L3 startup schedule in real time as activities are completed.
Flag conflicts or scheduling overlaps for resolution.
Ensure startup progress is communicated to relevant stakeholders through daily logs or reports.
Support documentation of L3 commissioning results for turnover packages.
Support the development of the plan of action for L4-L5 post-service transfer to CW, focusing on documentation and redundancy tracking.
Gather technical data on rack conditions, redundancy status, and system handoffs.
Assist in drafting transfer documentation.
Track action items assigned to various stakeholders during planning meetings.
Maintain organized records of service transfer strategies for reference during execution.
Draft and prepare Methods of Procedure (MOPs) for review, ensuring accuracy before approval.
Input MOP details into tracking systems and confirm they align with required standards.
Compare draft MOPs against existing operational baselines to ensure consistency.
Flag discrepancies or missing information for review before final approval.
Maintain a central repository of MOPs for easy access during commissioning.
Perform data entry and ensure accuracy in daily scheduling updates, MOP status, and Power Up dashboard.
Input daily progress updates into all tracking systems with attention to detail.
Double-check entries against field reports to ensure accuracy before submission.
Keep scheduling dashboards up to date for real-time project visibility.
Generate daily status reports for review by project stakeholders.
Identify and escalate risks, issues, or conflicts impacting commissioning milestones.
Monitor daily activities for potential risks or delays.
Record issues in the tracking system and alert for escalation.
Document corrective actions taken and update trackers accordingly.
Ensure stakeholders are informed of ongoing risks through regular updates.
Ensure compliance with safety, operational, and quality standards during daily tasks and documentation updates.
Verify that all entered data reflects activities carried out in compliance with safety and operational standards.
Assist in monitoring field activities for compliance with safety procedures.
Report safety concerns or deviations immediately.
Help maintain organized quality records that support compliance audits and turnover requirements.
Essential Skills
Understanding of Electrical Systems
In-field experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel)
Experience in construction management
Commercial construction experience
Experience in construction supervision
Additional Skills & Qualifications
2-5 years' experience in a similar role
Electrical construction background
Data Center experience preferred
Work Environment
This position is based on-site at a data center located in Minneapolis. The role involves working in a dynamic and fast-paced construction environment where adherence to safety and operational standards is paramount. The position is a contract-to-hire opportunity, offering benefits such as medical, dental, and vision coverage, six paid holidays, and one week of PTO, with the potential for additional PTO if the contract is extended.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $100000.00/hr.
