Aero Tech Aviation Design, a leading innovator in aviation component manufacturing, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Entry-Level Shop Technician. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on individual to launch or advance a career in advanced manufacturing within the aerospace industry.

About the Role

This position begins as a structured apprenticeship designed to provide comprehensive, on-the-job training across a wide spectrum of essential manufacturing skills. You will work alongside experienced professionals in a dynamic shop environment, contributing to the production of high-quality aviation parts.

Key Responsibilities

Learn and execute foundational manufacturing processes under direct supervision.

Work with various materials and techniques, including composites fabrication, sheet metal work, and precision riveting.

Assist senior technicians with TIG welding operations and other metal joining techniques.

Follow detailed blueprints, schematics, and work instructions to ensure compliance with strict aerospace quality standards.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all company safety protocols and procedures.

Perform routine quality checks on your work to ensure parts meet specifications.

Demonstrate a strong eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges and technologies.

Growth Opportunities

Upon successful completion and mastery of the initial apprenticeship phase and demonstrated competency, the role can evolve to include training and experience in:

Manual Milling and Lathe operation

CNC Machining and programming

Advanced composite layups and curing processes

Quality Assurance and Inspection roles

Qualifications and Skills

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical school certifications or relevant coursework is a plus but not required. A&P mechanic training or certification is helpful but not required

Experience: Entry-level position; no prior professional experience in aerospace manufacturing is necessary. Mechanical aptitude or experience with hands-on projects (automotive repair, model building, personal fabrication) is highly valued.
