Position Title: Title I Paraprofessional Location: Central Elementary Classification: Term Position (Not a new position) Reports To: Director of Instructional Services, Building Principal, and/or Superintendent of Schools Posting Type: Internal posting for USWA members (with potential external posting if needed)

Work Schedule:

Hours: 5.5 hours per day (8:15 AM -- 2:15 PM)

Lunch: -hour duty-free lunch

Days: Monday -- Friday, on student instruction days only or as directed by administration

Compensation & Benefits:

Union Transfer: Wages per Master Contract

New Hire Rate: $16.45 per hour

Benefits: Eligible for Category 2 benefits

Responsibilities:

Maintain Title I program records under the direction of the Director of Instructional Services

Work in classrooms under program guidelines with students needing assistance in learning the curriculum (state standards and benchmarks)

Provide individual and small group instructional support

Perform clerical duties as required

Assist with parent meetings

Participate in professional growth activities within and outside the district

Qualifications:

Must meet ESSA requirements via ETS Parapro Assessment or WORKKEYS

Ability to operate general office equipment (computers, copiers, laminators, fax machines, etc.)
