Summary The position is located in the Office of the Chief of Staff, Administrative Division. The incumbent provides administrative support to the immediate offices of the Directors of the PFPA and serves as the subject matter expert for agency correspondence control and processes. Responsibilities Incumbent typical work assignments may include the following: Manages internal and external tasks utilizing the agency's primary tool, the Correspondence and Task Management System (CATMS). Manages the day-to-day operations of the agency's travel programs, serving over 1000 users. Independently analyzes and resolves complex and unconventional travel and payment problems, providing authoritative advice and guidance to travelers on entitlements for domestic and international travel. Provides technical advice on administrative policies and communications. Executes final review of outgoing correspondence signed by the Directors to ensure packages are complete and accurate. Conducts research, analyzes information, and prioritizes projects with guidance from Administrative Division Director, and/or the PFPA Chief of Staff. Develops a range of administrative laws, policies, regulations, and precedents applicable to the administration of several programs including Congressional, Defense Privacy, and Freedom of Information. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Additional Condition of Employment This position is designated as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the civilian drug-testing program. You may qualify at the GS-11 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service (experience may have been gained in the private sector) that demonstrates your ability to: 1) Supporting and applying the policies, procedures, processes, and regulatory guidelines of the day-to-day administrative support operational functions; 2) Understanding and applying the travel system programs; and 3) Analyzing and evaluating qualitative and quantitative administrative workflow processes associated with training and other programs. OR Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M, if related.
