AgTexas Farm Credit Services

serves and supports approximately 2,600 member/borrowers in areas of lending, insurance sales, appraisal, and/or leasing. Eleven office locations can be found throughout the Association's 43-county trade territory, and the Association has a volume of approximately $3.2 billion. The lending portfolio consists of cotton, livestock, dairy, feed grains, real estate, and ag-related business loans. Additionally, the Association territory provides diversity in production and mortgage loans as well as commodities financed. Without strong financial backing farmers and ranchers will not survive, and people will not have food to eat or clothes to wear. AgTexas provides reliable credit and crop insurance to our member-owners, so they can feed and clothe the world.

PROFILE:

The Market President of Commercial Lending for the Central Texas region leads a team of Relationship Managers with varying degrees of experience. Responsible for discovering, developing, and maintaining direct client relationships. Participates in the development of business plans with senior management and is responsible for the implementation of plans in support of the Association's goals and objectives. Must be able to play a lead role in coordinating business development and communication of actions within the Association to provide superior service.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, agricultural economics, or a related field,

or equivalent experience plus ten (10) or more years of progressively responsible banking or related agricultural credit underwriting experience. Must possess experience with recreational land tracts and ranch purchases, expertise in lending to high-net-worth individuals, a strong understanding of scope and eligibility requirements, familiarity with best practices for land in transition, and knowledge of both row crop operations and livestock. Experience should include a broad understanding of lending regulations, credit operations, and credit practices.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Market President must live within commuting distance of Burleson Lending Office.

Concentrates primarily on managing and leading a lending team that is focused on new business through direct solicitation and origination of eligible loans.

Develop, train, and coach beginning relationship manager on business development.

Monitors business relationships and credit compliance of their team.

Makes calls with members of the lending team on important prospects to sell and service consumer and banking needs.

Work existing loan relationships in the absence of primary lender.

Works with members of the team to bring resolution of service issues of clients.

Monitors results versus objectives and recommends necessary strategic adjustments to ensure that objectives are reached.

Promotes the association by maintaining good public and member relations.

Works with other Market Presidents to promote a healthy culture and an atmosphere of teamwork.

Works with SVP Lending to ensure effective marketing and lead generation.

Work effectively with Market President(s)-Commercial Lending and Director of Customer Success.

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

Frequent interaction with customers, association departmental staff and management. Occasional interaction with association senior management. Occasional interaction with Farm Credit Bank of Texas staff. Frequent interaction with area professionals including real estate agents, commercial bankers, and others who deal with the association in the normal course of business.
