As a Security Officer - Overnight Industrial Access Control in Cedar Rapids, IA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced manufacturing and industrial location, where you will manage access control and support a welcoming first point of contact for employees, contractors, and visitors. You will check credentials, control entry and exit, monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and report security-related concerns with clear communication. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial location.

Control access at entry points by verifying identification and/or credentials, issuing visitor badges, managing sign-in and sign-out activity, and directing authorized traffic to the proper areas.

Monitor and document vehicle and delivery activity, including checking shipping and receiving paperwork as directed, maintaining logs, and reporting irregularities according to site procedures.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken and communicating with site contacts and/or local responders as required.

Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity, checking doors, gates, and restricted areas, and reporting maintenance and security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
